Today we may be celebrating or feeling a deeper sadness at the outcome.
I woke feeling some of both.
What our election has brought keenly to the fore, is that there is a division in how we feel our future is to be approached.
There are real concerns and every voice matters. Our respect and love for one another has to outweigh any outcome of any election; we must open the dialogue with compassion and interest, so that we can determine the real issues that need to be addressed - for all.
And I truly feel there is more than connects us in our desires than divides us in the plan of action.
For those of you sighing with relief, I join you in the continued hope that Mark Carney will truly be steadfast in the values and strategy he's laid before us - but vigilantly listen to the pains, struggles and worries of all and communicate and adapt accordingly.
For those worried that you've not been heard, I can only hold you in heart and trust that if we listen to each other and stand in a common love of our country ... that all will be well, we can be more together, in and through all of this.
With deep reverence, because We matter more than the bodies that aim to govern us. ~ j
