✨EXPAND ~ A Reflection on what “Just What If?” Means for We.
Every single one of us has had experiences in the faltering, in succumbing to the overwhelm, in feeling blindsided by life despite the efforts, when the ground gives way and threatens to swallow us whole.
Every single one of us has experienced moments that made us want to fall to our knees weeping for the wonder and beauty … of a beloved, an unexpected kindness, a word that reflected all the love we ached for, a sight that left us breathless.
What if we could wield time? See the terrors for their truths, that they are happening for us not to us. Gain hindsight at the start to see the angst that crafts us into brilliance when we embrace rather than fight it? See the glory of our breath, feel a tender kiss to the full, lingering in the sweetness as if it be our first again and again and again?
Whether we are able to recognize it in the moment, we are held in the arms of something wondrous, a pulse of life that is pure love, pure power. I’ve felt it, perhaps you have too. And this presence give us perspective, a knowing that can withstand the agony of life’s ebbs and embrace the flows with wild reverence.
We are more miraculous than we know and we need only remember.
From being raised by a mother who felt a void that could never be filled by human means, finding hope in a father who taught me to gather from within and rise from the ashes with intention to love and give what I can as I can, and experiencing the incredible loss of friends who seemed to disappear by the day to facing death in a glimpse with a stroke that came to bring to light a hole in my heart desperate to be filled before it took my life …
I have played the Just What If? game and found my power to bend to life’s seemingly cruel will and never break … to find purpose in the pressure, resiliency in the rejection, graciousness in the grind … to relinquish the highs and lows for the ever-evolving attempt at equanimity.
And this I’ve learned … we do have a choice. We can learn to let go, bask in the peace of the space between, slow time to reset and to savour. And it all begins with a question, of hope, of possibility …
“Just What If learning to embrace life Just One Soulful Thing at a time could escort me into every second of my life and usher me into my most cherished visions for a life well lived?”
“Just what if?” Let that question linger on your lips, in your heart and then let it set your soul on fire for what’s next.
✨EXPERIENCE ~ Your Turn to Take it All Out For a Spin.
😌 Breathe, still, linger in the silence and let thoughts float away like clouds across a blue sky. Breathe.
💜 Take Your Question into the Stillness. Use these or (I encourage you) to create your own.
Just what if what is happening right now in my life is happening for me? What is the message? What are the lessons?
Just what if I had the power to lead this ‘situation’ for greater peace, for greater good, for love? How would I see others? How would I handle myself? What will I do now?
Just what if I am safe, capable, creative, courageous, able to achieve all I envision for my health, my relationships, my soulful service, my present-moment living? What will I do next?
Just what else would you have me know?
Look within to your wild, innate wisdom, that whisper and Friend that knows all … listen and follow wherever it leads. The best of your life, IS happening in this very moment.
To your extraordinary adventure along the ever-soul-expanding way.
